Tennessee Titans’ Mike Heimerdinger diagnosed with cancer | tennessean.com | The Tennessean
The Titans huddled in prayer at the end of Wednesday’s practice after learning offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger had been diagnosed with cancer.
He had been in meetings with many of them earlier in the day, when none were aware of his condition. He begins chemotherapy on Monday.
“Mike is very sick,” an emotional Coach Jeff Fisher said. “I want you all to pray for Mike as we have been doing all morning.”
According to Fisher, the 58-year-old Heimerdinger had been feeling sick for a few weeks, but continued to work despite discomfort. He recently underwent tests and was told of the diagnosis on Wednesday morning.
Coach, my prayers are with you!
This kind of situation puts everything else in perspective.
