SEC Men’s Basketball Predictions: Week of February 1-“We begin to separate the Men from the Boys”
We are just about to reach the halfway point in the SEC men’s season and this week will be a critical one for many teams in each division.
Here are the standings as of today:
Who could have predicted that Alabama would have the best conference record at this point? Stranger things have not happened recently unless you happened to attend the South Carolina-Auburn or Arkansas-Vandy games last weekend.
Here is this week’s slate with my guesses. Every time I think I have this figured out I look stupid.
UK at Ole Miss
The Cats should win at the Tad Pad, but many things should occur.
Vandy at Florida
This one will be tough, but I am out on a skinny limb when I predict the Dores will win a nailbiter.
USC at LSU
South Carolina must be better than they were against Auburn? Not in this one; LSU wins at home
Miss. St at Alabama
The Bulldogs extract revenge in Tuscaloosa-Cowbells will ring at the conclusion
Georgia at Arkansas
Hogs will let down and the UGA dogs will win on the road
Tennessee at Auburn
Tony Barbee gets his first home win-Good orange wins over UT Orange-War Eagle!
Auburn at Georgia
Auburn’s bubble will burst in Athens-Dogs win at home
South Carolina at Vandy
Dores get revenge for the earlier gift in Columbia
Miss. St at LSU
Dogs win their second this week at the Deaf dome
Alabama at Tennessee
Tide rolls at the Summit-Smokey has tears after this one
Ole Miss at Arkansas
Hogs get back on the winning track versus the unBearable Rebels
Kentucky at Florida
Gators take a bite out of the Cats at the O-Dome
Stay tuned-the season is only half over and we are just getting started.
