SEC Baseball Update-Saturday April 16

We are in the middle of the SEC baseball season and we have several good series to talk about today.  The real highlight is this:UT logo  Tennessee did not lose on Friday.  While this is a little tongue-in-cheek, the real reason the Vols didn’t lose is that they didn’t play; the weather won.  Enough digging on the team from the east.

Here are the results thus far.  Be sure to tune in CSS tonight at 6:00 pm CST to see Vandy and South Carolina Gamecocks logo South Carolina and then again on Sunday when the same due plays on ESPN2.

Auburn 8- 7
The LSU tailspin continues and I wonder how much longer it will go on until we see a www.firepaulmainieri  website crop up.

Ole Miss 3-Kentucky 2
The Rebels win again and the Cats continue to chase the Vols in the cellar of the SEC East.

Arkansas 6-Miss. St. 5
The Hogs win again and seem poised to take on Alabama for the top spot in the SEC West

Florida 5-Georgia 4
The other great series this weekend is in Athens and the Gators hold on to defeat the Bulldogs in the tipoff game.

South Carolina 3-Vanderbilt 1
Michael Roth threw a gem and Vandy seemed clueless when it came to hitting his    “soft toss” arsenal.  Scott Wingo  had several timely hits and the Gamecocks showed why they are ranked in the top 5 of the country.  Today’s game has Grayson Garvin for Vanderbilt versus Colby Holmes for the Gamecocks.

Mark this date on your calendar-June 19.

We’ll talk more about it soon-enjoy your weekend!
