SEC Baseball Predictions-Will the Dores still be in first place on Sunday evening?

It is a big weekend in SEC baseball and with only two weekends to go we have the following in the standings for the SEC baseball championship:

SEC East

Vanderbilt             19-5
South Carolina      18-6
Florida                   18-6
Georgia                 14-10
Kentucky                5-19
Tennessee              5-19

SEC West

Arkansas              12-12
Alabama               12-12
Auburn                 11-13
Ole Miss                11-13
Miss. St.                11-13
                       8-16

The East has been predictable all year, but the West has been a free for all and I don’t think anyone could have predicted that LSU would be the cellar dweller in that division.

Here are the pairings for this weekend with my predictions.  I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on my thoughts.

Miss. St at Ole Miss-I think the Rebels win 2 of 3 at home, but it could swing the other way easily

Alabama at Auburn-Auburn is pitching poor, but they are at home and should win 2 of 3 versus the Tide

Arkansas at South Carolina-The Gamecocks are thinking sweep, but I think the Hogs will sneak in and win 2 of 3 in Columbia.

Georgia at Kentucky-Georgia should win 2 of 3, but the Wildcats can win the series if they play as hard as they did against Vandy last weekend.

Tennessee at LSU-This is about pride and I suspect the Tigers will dismantle the Volunteers at the Box in Baton Rouge if they are not flooded out.

Florida at Vandy-A classic duel of two complete national contenders.  This is a gut check for both teams and I suspect the Commodores will win 2 of 3 at home.  If their bats come alive they could sweep.

Hope you enjoy your weekend.  Take care of yourself and go out and watch some SEC baseball.
